The Hendersonville Board of REALTORS® is a trade Association which was chartered in 1947 and issued by the National Association of REALTORS®. Our Association is comprised of REALTORS® and other professionals in related industries united in purpose and dedicated to providing knowledgeable and ethical real estate services to consumers and fellow REALTORS®. The Hendersonville Board of REALTORS® strives to provide its members with programs and services which enhance the member's ability to successfully conduct their business in a competent and ethical manner, to promote cooperation among its members, and to promote the public's right to use and transfer real property.  The Association also participates in lobbying efforts of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® on issues affecting property rights and the Real Estate industry in general.

Betty-McCallister HBOR 2009 Realtor of the Year: Betty McCallister

 

Betty McCallister has been honored by the Hendersonville Board of Realtors as their 2009 Realtor of the Year.  Betty is a native of Henderson County and has been a Realtor and Association member since 1980.  She is Owner/Broker-in-Charge of Bet-Mac Realty, which was established in 1986 and located in the Mills River area of Henderson County.  She served on the Board of Directors for the Hendersonville Board of Realtors for nine years and is chairperson for the Program Committee which coordinates all Board General Membership meetings.

Betty is an active member of the French Broad Baptist Church where she has been a Sunday School Teacher of the 1st and 2nd grades for over 15 years and a member of the choir for over 25 years.  She is a past member and past President of the Hendersonville Business and Professional Women’s Club where she was honored as Club Woman of the Year in 1979.  She is currently a member of Four Seasons Toastmasters Club of Hendersonville.

Betty and husband, Ron resides in the Mills River area.  They have been married for 48 years and they have three adult sons, Brian of Grays Lake, Illinois, Craig of Auburn, Alabama and Kevin of Oak Ridge, North Carolina.  Ron and Betty are proud of their five adorable grandchildren.

The Realtor of the Year is a very Special honor bestowed annually by the Hendersonville Board of Realtors and is based on select criteria.  We honor Betty McCallister as our 2009 Realtor of the Year.
