Henderson county residents benefit from two award-winning healthcare facilities. Since 1953, Pardee Hospital has served as Hendersonville’s community hospital, offering comprehensive nationally recognized health care that’s close to home. Today, Pardee Hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds and has 238 physicians and dentists on the medical staff. A total of 175 physicians hold full admitting privileges and 40 medical specialties are represented through the medical staff. The hospital features a nationally accredited Comprehensive Cancer Center with a dedicated Breast Center, a recently expanded and renovated Emergency Department, an orthopedic program recognized among the nation’s best, and OB/GYNS and midwives offering a wide variety of services. In addition, Pardee offers adult day services, a health education center in the Blue Ridge Mall, home care services, a rehab and wellness center, various family and internal medicine practices, and an urgent care center for minor illnesses and injuries.

Pardee Hospital was ranked among the top 5% of hospitals in the nation for clinical excellence by HealthGrades, the nation's leading provider of independent hospital ratings. Pardee is the first and only hospital in North Carolina hospital to be ISO 9001:2008 certified. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification is a rigorous process in which a hospital improves and monitors the delivery of patient care, measures quality, and places the highest priority on eliminating errors.

Since 1910, Park Ridge Health has provided the community with superior medical care in a compassionate Christian environment. Located in Fletcher, the health care facility offers state-of-the-art equipment and care as one of the 37 hospitals in the U.S. belonging to the renowned Adventist Health System. Park Ridge Health focuses on wellness and  is the third largest employer in Henderson County, with more than 1,000 associates and more than 200 physicians on staff. Recently, the hospital completed an expansion, which includes an 18,000 square foot Women’s Center with Henderson County’s only dedicated C-section room.
